AI FORCE, AMERICAN FUTURE: MICHAEL LEVINE PRAISES TRUMP’S BOLD TECHNOLOGY CALL

Famed media expert and bestselling author Michael Levine praised President Donald Trump’s plan to create an “AI Force” and appoint a national artificial intelligence czar, calling it “a smart, proactive move—both in reality and perception.”

Trump compared the proposed initiative to the U.S. Space Force, although it remains unclear whether the AI Force would operate as a military branch, civilian agency, or government-wide command.

“Artificial intelligence will transform national defense, business, education, medicine, communications and nearly every corner of American life,” Levine said. “The country that leads this revolution will help write the rules of the twenty-first century. America cannot afford to arrive late, confused or divided.”

The announcement comes as technology leaders, researchers and lawmakers debate the breathtaking speed of AI development. Some urge a slowdown, while others demand stronger safeguards against fraud, job displacement, misinformation and national-security threats. Trump has dismissed many concerns surrounding AI as a “hoax.”

Levine said the president’s language may be provocative, but the decision sends an unmistakable message: America intends to compete and win.

“Leadership begins by recognizing that a historic shift is underway,” Levine added. “An AI czar could focus responsibility, reduce bureaucratic paralysis and coordinate policy across government. The precise structure will matter enormously, as will transparency and meaningful safeguards. But establishing a clear center of command is an intelligent first step.”

Levine concluded: “In politics and technology, perception shapes confidence. Calling this an ‘AI Force’ tells allies, rivals, investors and innovators that America plans to lead—not follow.”
